Usage Note
Todo inflects for gender and number (toda, todos, todas) and can function as determiner or pronoun. Todos los días 'every day' and todo el mundo 'everyone' (literally 'the whole world') are indispensable phrases. As a neuter pronoun todo refers to an idea or situation: lo sé todo 'I know everything'. Do not confuse with cada 'each', which focuses on individuals within a set.
