reencontrar

to find again

verb rreh-en-kon-TRAHR Rare

Also means

to be reunited with

Usage Note

Reencontrar is typically used reflexively as reencontrarse con someone: se reencontró con sus amigos de la infancia (he was reunited with his childhood friends). The noun form reencuentro ('reunion') is very common. The initial re- prefix means the finding is a repetition of a previous encounter, distinguishing it from encontrar alone.

Examples

"Por fin se reencontró con su hermano."

Natural Translation

She was finally reunited with her brother.
