Usage Note
Acompañado is the past participle of acompañar used as an adjective, agreeing in gender and number: bien acompañada, mal acompañados. The phrase bien acompañado ('in good company') is idiomatic. When used with estar, it describes a temporary state: está acompañado ('he has company right now'); contrast with solo ('alone'), its natural opposite.
