Usage Note

Abrazo is the noun form of abrazar (to hug). It is also the standard warm closing in letters and messages: un abrazo or un fuerte abrazo (a big hug), equivalent to 'best wishes' between friends. Abrazar is not reflexive when reciprocal with -se: se abrazaron means 'they hugged each other.'
