Usage Note
Peor is the irregular comparative and superlative of malo: malo → peor (worse) → el/la peor (the worst). It is invariable for gender and pluralises to peores. The adverbial use (habla peor, 'she speaks worse') is also common. Avoid más malo in formal contexts, although it is heard informally.
