Usage Note
Aceptable is a cognate of English 'acceptable' and works the same way: it describes something that meets a minimum standard without being outstanding. It doesn't apocopate and agrees only in number (resultados aceptables). In colloquial speech it often carries a mildly lukewarm tone — 'good enough, but not great.'
Examples
"Su rendimiento en el examen fue aceptable."
Natural Translation
His performance on the exam was acceptable.
