Usage Note
Hípica (always feminine: la hípica) is the umbrella term in Spanish for equestrian sports, including show jumping, dressage, and eventing — what English might call 'equestrianism'. Un club hípico is a riding club. The adjective hípico/a is also found in carrera hípica ('horse race') and centro hípico ('equestrian centre').
