Usage Note

Antideportivo is formed with the prefix anti- plus deportivo (sporting). It describes conduct that violates the spirit of fair play — diving, time-wasting, or verbal abuse of referees. The noun antideportividad exists but is awkward; journalists prefer conducta antideportiva or juego sucio ('dirty play'). The feminine form is antideportiva, following regular -o/-a agreement.
