Fuerte is invariable for gender (un hombre fuerte, una mujer fuerte) and takes -s in the plural. Beyond physical strength, it describes intense flavours (un queso fuerte, a strong cheese), loud sounds (un ruido fuerte), and heavy rain (lluvia fuerte). As an adverb it means 'hard' or 'loudly' (habla muy fuerte, she speaks very loudly).
