Usage Note
Apoteosis originally meant the deification of a human, but in modern Spanish it is widely used to mean the glorious peak or climax of something — la apoteosis del concierto (the grand finale of the concert). It is an invariable noun: la apoteosis and las apoteosis both use the same form. In colloquial speech, the adjective apoteósico ('epic, over-the-top') is very common.
