Usage Note
Acreditado is the past participle of acreditar used as an adjective meaning officially recognised or proven trustworthy — un centro acreditado (an accredited centre), una marca acreditada (a reputable brand). It can also describe a journalist or diplomat who has received press or diplomatic credentials. Do not confuse with acreditativo, which is used for documents that serve as proof.
