Usage Note

Trazado refers to the planned or drawn outline of a road, railway line, pipeline, or urban plan — essentially the 'trace' or alignment of an infrastructure project. It can also mean the general layout of a map or diagram. The verb is trazar ('to trace' / 'to draw'). Do not confuse with trazo, which refers to a single stroke of a pen or brush.

Examples

"El trazado de la nueva carretera ya está aprobado."

Natural Translation

The layout of the new road has already been approved.
