Usage Note
Temblar is an e-ie stem-changing verb (tiemblo, tiemblas, tiembla…). It is used for physical shaking from cold or fear, and for the earth trembling (la tierra tembló). The noun temblor means a tremor or minor earthquake, especially in Latin America where terremoto is reserved for larger quakes. Temblar de miedo is to tremble with fear.
