Temblor refers to a trembling or shaking — of the earth (temblor de tierra, earthquake tremor), the body (temblores de frío, chills), or the voice. In Latin America it is the common word for a minor earthquake; Spain tends to prefer terremoto even for small quakes. The verb is temblar.
