Usage Note

Resentimiento denotes a deep, lingering feeling of bitterness over a perceived wrong. The verb is resentirse de/por algo (to feel resentment about something, or to suffer the effects of something). It is stronger and more enduring than enojo (anger) or rencor, with which it is nearly synonymous.
