Usage Note
Quehacer is almost always used in the plural quehaceres — specifically quehaceres domésticos (household chores). In the singular it can mean an occupation or duty in a more formal register. It is written as one word; do not confuse it with the separate sequence qué hacer (as in no sé qué hacer, I don't know what to do).
Examples
"Terminé mis quehaceres antes del almuerzo."
Natural Translation
I finished my chores before lunch.
