práctico

practical

adjective PRAHK-tee-koh Less Common

Also means

handy, convenient

Usage Note

Práctico describes both a person who is pragmatic and an object that is easy to use or convenient. The noun la práctica (practice, training) shares the root but is a distinct word. The opposite is teórico, and learners sometimes reach for práctico when English would use 'useful' (útil), which is a closer fit in many contexts.

Examples

"Esta herramienta es muy práctica."
