Pasividad is an abstract noun criticizing a lack of action or initiative, often used in political or social commentary (la pasividad del gobierno ante la crisis). Its antonym is actividad or proactividad. The adjective pasivo can also carry a grammatical sense (voz pasiva, 'passive voice'), but pasividad is almost exclusively behavioral.
