Amenazante describes a person, tone, gesture, or situation that conveys a threat or danger. It is the present participle of amenazar used as an adjective and is invariable in gender: un gesto amenazante, una mirada amenazante. Synonyms include amenazador (same meaning, slightly more common) and intimidatorio (more formal).
