Usage Note
Orgullo can be positive ('justified pride', estoy orgulloso de ti = 'I'm proud of you') or negative ('arrogance'). The adjective orgulloso/orgullosa means 'proud'. In recent years orgullo has also become the standard word for LGBT Pride (el Día del Orgullo). Don't confuse with soberbia (haughtiness/arrogance), which is always negative.
