Usage Note

Mozo has a range of meanings by region and context: a young lad in general use, a waiter or porter in Argentina and other Latin American countries, or a military conscript in some registers. In Spain it is somewhat dated for 'waiter' (camarero is current); in the Andes it remains the standard restaurant term. The feminine moza means a young woman or a maid.
