mánager

manager

Usage Note

Mánager is a direct anglicism, fully adopted into Spanish with a written accent to mark stress on the first syllable. It takes masculine agreement by default but a woman in the role may be called la mánager. In Spain and Latin America gerente or director are more formal equivalents; mánager is common in sports, entertainment, and music industries.
