Lograr implies successfully reaching a goal, often after effort, and takes an infinitive directly: logró terminar a tiempo ('managed to finish on time'). It is more specific about success than conseguir, though both overlap. In formal writing lograr often appears where English would say 'to accomplish' or 'to succeed in.'
