Usage Note
Llover is a stem-changing (o→ue) defective verb used almost exclusively in the third-person singular: llueve (it rains), llovió (it rained). The expression llover sobre mojado ('to rain on the already wet') means to pile problems on top of existing ones. The noun form is lluvia.
