Usage Note
Junior (also spelled júnior with an accent in the RAE standard) is used in Spain and Latin America to denote a lower rank or lesser experience — programador júnior, 'junior developer'. It is also used in sports for youth categories. The plural is júniores or simply júnior (invariable in informal usage). It contrasts directly with sénior.
