Usage Note
Irreversible is used in both scientific contexts (daño irreversible = 'irreversible damage') and everyday language to stress that a change cannot be undone. It is an invariable-ending adjective (same form for masculine and feminine), ending in -ble. Its direct antonym is reversible.
