Also means
promoter
Usage Note
Impulsor (feminine impulsora) refers to a person or force that drives something forward — el principal impulsor de la reforma ('the main driver of the reform'). Unlike English 'driver' it is never used for a vehicle driver (conductor) or a software driver (controlador); it is strictly a metaphorical 'driving force' or 'promoter'.
Examples
"Fue el principal impulsor del proyecto."
Natural Translation
He was the main driver of the project.
