Usage Note

Etíope functions as both a noun (an Ethiopian person) and an adjective (Ethiopian). Unlike many demonyms, it does not change form between masculine and feminine: el etíope, la etíope. The country is Etiopía. In adjectival use, cocina etíope (Ethiopian cuisine) or cultura etíope are common collocations.
