Usage Note

Estupidez means both the quality of being stupid (abstract) and a specific stupid act or remark — hacer una estupidez ('to do something stupid'). The plural estupideces follows the regular -z -> -ces change. The register is informal to mildly rude; in formal writing necedad or insensatez would be preferred.
