Usage Note
Acostumbrar is used in two key constructions: acostumbrar a + infinitive (to be in the habit of doing something) and the reflexive acostumbrarse a (to get used to something new). The first sense is more common in Latin America; in Spain soler is often preferred for habitual actions.
