Estupendo is a common colloquial word for 'great' or 'wonderful' in Spain, often used as a standalone exclamation: ¡Estupendo! It is broadly positive but more informal than magnífico. Note that estupendo does NOT mean 'stupid' — that false friend is estúpido.
