Divertido describes something that provides enjoyment (una película divertida — 'a fun movie') and can also mean 'funny' in the sense of amusing rather than comical. It is not to be confused with gracioso, which focuses more on humor and wit. The verb divertirse ('to have fun') is common in everyday speech: ¡Diviértete! is the standard way to say 'Have fun!'
