Cofundador is a compound of co- (together) + fundador (founder), referring to one of two or more people who jointly founded an organization, company, or movement. The feminine form is cofundadora. In startup and tech culture, the word has become very common in Spanish-language media. The prefix co- is productive in Spanish: codirector, coautor.
