Usage Note
Baldosa refers to a flat ceramic or stone tile used for floors or pavements, distinguishable from azulejo which usually means a decorative wall tile. In some Latin American countries baldosa also covers pavement slabs outdoors. The adjective baldosado describes a tiled surface.
