Usage Note
Balear means relating to the Balearic Islands (las Islas Baleares) — Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, an autonomous community of Spain. The demonym balear is also used as a noun for an inhabitant. As a common adjective it is invariable for gender: el dialecto balear, la cultura balear.
