Usage Note
Asentado is the past participle of asentar used as an adjective. It describes a community or person that has put down roots (una comunidad asentada), as well as a business or practice that is firmly established (una costumbre asentada). It is also used with estar to mean physically seated or placed, especially in literary registers.
