Usage Note
Absorbido is the past participle of absorber used adjectivally. It can mean physically absorbed (a liquid absorbido by a sponge), or figuratively absorbed in concentration (absorbido por el trabajo). It also appears in business contexts: una empresa absorbida is a company that has been taken over or merged. Agrees in gender: absorbida, and number: absorbidos.
