Usage Note

Asco is a strong, colloquial word for disgust or something revolting. Dar asco means to disgust (me da asco, it disgusts me / I can't stand it); qué asco is an exclamation of revulsion ('how disgusting!'). It can describe both physical repulsion (el olor da asco) and moral disgust (la corrupción da asco). The related adjective is asqueroso (disgusting, filthy).
