Virreinal describes anything relating to the era or institution of the virreinato (viceroyalty) — the Spanish colonial governance system in the Americas and elsewhere. Common collocations include arte virreinal (viceregal art) and época virreinal (viceregal period). It is invariable for gender: arquitectura virreinal, periodo virreinal.
