Usage Note
Vestir is an e→i stem-changing verb (visto, vistes…). The reflexive vestirse means 'to get dressed'. Vestir can also take a direct object when dressing another person (la madre viste al niño). The noun vestido (dress/costume) and the adjective bien vestido (well-dressed) share the same root.
