Usage Note

Testimonio means a formal statement given as evidence or a personal account (dar testimonio = to bear witness/give testimony). It is the standard legal term for witness testimony (el testimonio del testigo). Colloquially it can also mean any personal account or proof (su testimonio fue conmovedor = his account was moving).
