Riguroso means thorough and exacting (un análisis riguroso, 'a rigorous analysis') or harsh in a physical sense (un invierno riguroso, 'a harsh winter'). The adverb is rigurosamente. Do not confuse with rígido (rigid, stiff as a physical property) — riguroso implies methodical strictness or severity rather than physical inflexibility. The noun is rigor.
