Usage Note

Registrar covers both 'to register/enroll' and 'to search/examine' (as in police searching premises). The reflexive registrarse means 'to check in' (at a hotel) or 'to sign up'. Don't confuse it with grabar, which specifically means 'to record' audio or video.
