Usage Note

Adjuntar is the standard verb for attaching a file to an email or enclosing a document with a letter: adjunto el archivo ('I am attaching the file'). The adjective adjunto ('attached, enclosed') is used in formal correspondence (véase el documento adjunto). It also means 'deputy' or 'assistant' in titles (director adjunto).
