Rechace is a masculine noun confined to sports, where it means a parried or deflected ball that stays in play — aprovechar el rechace del portero (to pounce on the goalkeeper's parry). It derives from rechazar (to reject, to repel), but for the general sense of rejection the noun is rechazo, not rechace.
