Usage Note
Recepcionista is the standard term for a receptionist in a hotel, office, or medical practice. It is a sustantivo de género común: el recepcionista / la recepcionista, with the article marking gender. The role is described as atender la recepción (to man the reception desk). In larger hotels, a recepcionista may be distinguished from a conserje (concierge), who handles guest services beyond check-in.
