Patrono carries two distinct senses: a patron saint (patrono de la ciudad) and an employer or boss (in labour law, contrasted with trabajador). The feminine is patrona. Do not confuse with patrón (which also means 'boss' but additionally covers a boat captain, a pattern, or the gold standard in economics).
