Usage Note
Ocupado is the past participle of ocupar used as an adjective. It describes a person who is busy (estoy muy ocupado) or a space or line that is occupied or engaged (el baño está ocupado, la línea está ocupada). It almost always pairs with estar. The opposite is libre ('free, available').
