Usage Note
Obsesión is almost always followed by con (obsesión con el trabajo = obsession with work) rather than por, though por appears in some registers. The verb is obsesionar (to obsess) and its reflexive obsesionarse con (to become obsessed with). In informal speech, manía is a softer synonym.
Examples
"Su obsesión con el orden le causaba problemas."
Natural Translation
His obsession with order caused him problems.
