Usage Note

Morada is a literary or elevated synonym for home or residence (su última morada means 'their final resting place'). In everyday speech casa or vivienda are more common; morada lends a poetic or solemn register. Note it also means 'purple' as an adjective (color morado), but the noun morada (dwelling) is unrelated.
